Sadaqah — voluntary charity — is one of the most beautiful acts of worship in Islam. Unlike Zakat, which is obligatory, Sadaqah can be given at any time, in any amount, for any good cause. And its rewards, as described in the Quran and Sunnah, are truly extraordinary.
Allah says in the Quran: “Who is it that would loan Allah a goodly loan so He may multiply it for him many times over?” (2:245). Every dirham, every dollar, every act of kindness given for the sake of Allah is multiplied, purified, and returned to us — in this life and the next.
“Sadaqah does not decrease wealth. No one forgives another except that Allah increases his honour, and no one humbles himself for the sake of Allah except that Allah raises his status.” — Prophet Muhammad ﷺ (Muslim)
